Sweet, mostly. Saffron can turn iodine-sharp in alcohol; in an oil base it stays warm and slightly leathery, and the jasmine rounds it further within about ten minutes.
Often, yes. This is the loudest oil in the house. One light pass on the wrist or behind the ear covers a full day — two is a statement, so make it deliberately.
Same note structure, different weighting. Ours pushes cedar and fir resin harder in the base and drops the alcohol, so it sits closer for the first hour and then outlasts the original by a good six hours.
