Not for the first six hours. The build is bergamot, ginger and sage up front with amberwood underneath; agarwood arrives late and quietly, as a dry smoky shadow rather than a barnyard. It is the gentlest oud in the house.
It is green apple skin rather than juice — tart, crisp, and gone inside twenty minutes. It works with the ginger to keep the opening sharp instead of sweet, then hands the oil over to the sage.
This is the one we recommend for it. Moderate projection, clean and herbal right through the working day, and a woody drydown that stays within arm’s reach. Use two passes if you want to be noticed.
Yes — it is the easiest oil in the collection to build on. A musk underneath softens the ginger; Sultan Oud over the top pushes it much drier and darker. Apply the heavier oil first and let it settle for a minute before the second.
